Violence Against Black Men, Why?

“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what ANY people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of INJUSTICE and WRONG which will be imposed upon them, and THESE WILL CONTINUE till they are RESISTED with either WORDS or BLOWS, or with BOTH. The limits of TYRANTS are prescribed by the ENDURANCE of THOSE WHOM THEY OPPRESS.”
Frederick Douglass
“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present…fellow citizens, we cannot escape HISTORY…The fiery trial through which we pass will LIGHT U.S. DOWN, in HONOR or DISHONOR, to the LATEST GENERATION. We SAY we are for the UNION.
The WORLD WILL NOT FORGET that WE say THIS. We know how how to save the Union…In giving FREEDOM to the SLAVE, we ensure freedom to the free-honorable alike in what we give, and what we preserve. We shall NOBLY save, or meanly lose, the LAST, BEST HOPE OF EARTH.’
Abraham Lincoln 1862 Inaugural Speech.
Anytime a Black man of prominence speaks out he is shut down by ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Case in point Andrew Young when US Ambassador spoke to the Palestinians about Middle East Peace he was ousted, but not killed. Muhammad Ali, Colin Kaepernick, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby, George Jackson, Patrice Lumumba, and Martin Luther King, Jr. once he railed about Viet-Nam he was killed as was Malcolm X after he tried to bring the plight of the Black Man in America before the United Nations he also was eliminated. FACTS!
Sadly we must include the Status QUO typified by a retro mentality permeating America as folks harken back to OLDEN TIMES more reminiscent of the PECULIAR INSTITUTION than the PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES. America in the 21st Century feels more like the 1930’s than 2020.
